Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A Resort for five 17 year olds

would resort would you reccomend for 5 17 year olds. This trip we are going to organise is going to be for 2008/9 when were 17/18 as we lack sufficient funds for this year and were all going with our families for the last time.

We all enjoy intermediate country ie lots of blues and reds.

Lively resort

snowsure

relatively cheap with good deals. prefreably last minute deals.

lots of accomodation close to main heart of village and slopes.

prefreably france, but perhaps italy or austria.

Iran, no seriously Chamonix, just avoid school hols (if you can), low season you will be able to get a flat quite cheap, would not necessarily shout about your age when booking.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Christopher, you'll need at least one 18-year-old, as no-one in their right mind will take your booking otherwise (nothing personal, you understand). You could do worse than go back to Montgenevre - cheap and accessible.

Mayrhofen! Loads of cheap last minute practically snow sure with the Glacier and you will get a good deal on a pension plus it has the Ice Bar!

I'd go to Val d'isere , out of the main holiday periods , great red and blues , park , great nightlife and that is based on that bleary eyes of our chalet hosts most mornings , but breakfast was always good and the stories even better.

Go for it chief, far better you get yourself skiing than wasting "all" your money in Ibiza a few months later Cool

PPS Tour operators will take your money with a parental guarantee I am sure!!!

Any youth hostel/UCPA place should be more than happy to accomodate you.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Though now in my thirties, having travelled with `students` in the past,.. I can still reccomend Alpe Duex, Deux Alpes, and La Plagne for great terrain, accomodation either in apartments or chalets for sensible money, and good bars and nightlife.
The bigger resorts obviously have more clubs and crazier night life, but you will sacrifice skiiing/ boarding time for hangovers, and your wallet will take a pounding also...

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

If you are booking last minute you can be sure of snow by booking where the conditions are known to be good. If you go early season when the cheapest deals are you really are best waiting and seeing where the snow has fallen.

http://www.action-outdoors.co.uk/index.asp - POW. All inclusive to Tignes for 600. I went there with two friends, the room was small but the skiing was big.

If you will all be 17 you may have to go independently rather than with a TO - my daughter found that TOs would not accept a booking from a 17 year old. Easyjet and private accomodation providers didn't ask about age. And in your position I would go to Austria!

In terms of apres cost, I have it in mind that France is the most expensive, followed by Switzerland, Austria and with Italy the cheapest, though that may be partly down to the resorts in those countries that I've visited Confused
