Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Got my money back from Crystal and have booked to go to Passo Tonale (HALF BOARD!) for only £235, including insurance! snowHead

Been to Tonale twice. Good value resort. The runs down to Ponte di Legno are lovely

Only shame of it is that its by Manchester not Newcastle but a deal that good can't be ignored, especially when you can Ski to the door of the hotel! snowHead

I learnt to ski in Passo Tonale many years ago, must have been early 80's. I had one of the best instructors I've ever had and that is very important the first time. It was my downfall and I've been hooked ever since.

I believe that the resort has expanded since then. I would love to go back some time and ski there again.

I've been to Passo Tonale twice as well. Not my favourite resort but you do get some good deals to go there. As Johnboy said, the runs down at Ponte di Legno are very nice. We also had a day at Madonna and one at Folgarida and Marileva. You go to Folgarida on a free bus but it has to be booked. We went to Madonna with the tour operator. Both trips well worth while.
