Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Sunday Times leads it's skiing section this week with "White Christmas going cheap".

It goes onto say that many operators are finding the day of the week that Christmas falls on to be disadvantageous, with many companies now heavily discounting their holidays both in the week leading up to Christmas and the week after.

Having just picked up an almost unbelievable deal with Esprit for departure on Boxing Day this last week (£1400 saved on a family of 4 - and there're 16 of us going!), from first hand experience I'd say that panic is probably closer to the mark!

The discounting seems solely aimed at European destinations with even the high resorts having plenty of deals on offer. So, if you're planning on a trip to the Alps this Christmas and haven't booked, now might be the time to do it. For those that have, the consensus of opinion seems to be that the slopes may not be quite as busy as usual for the time of year.

Whatever, even allowing for the gamble of snow/no snow this early in the season, it might just be the time to roll the dice!

Thanks for the link David.

By chance, the deal that I was offered occured during the call to Esprit when generally just seeking info on any resort deals that may be available. Whilst I was speaking to the sales person, the price dropped by £800 (it was aready discounted!) Literally, just like that.

Anyone else picked up any good deals yet?
