Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot question

Poster: A snowHead
I was skiing fir the first time in new boots (SPK Kreations with custom footbeds) at Castleford yesterday, and they're perfectly comfortable apart from after a few hours skiing, I noticed a slight 'pain' down the outside edge of my right foot, just behind the balls of my feet. It wasn't really pain more than a dull aching sort of feeling, kinda like having very mild cramp. Is this normal and just due to skiing for hours constantly, or is it something that could be sorted, and that I should go back to Snow+Rock about?

New footbeds can cause this as they reposition the foot to work this part of it. Secondly, if there is canting on the outside ankle and the little arrow points up, turn it through 180 degrees to face down, this often solves the problem.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

krunchie63, no, just an aching. I forgot to add that I didn't really notice it when I was skiing either, it was just on the poma that I even noticed it was there.

Forgot to ask, does this mean it's just a case of skiing in them more and the pain will disappear as my foot 'gets used' to it?

mark_s, You could try wearing them in everyday shoes if you can remove the old foot bed and they're not rigid. Little Angel
