Poster: A snowHead

I am travelling to Lech and was wondering if anyone had any particularly good or bad experiences with gear rental there, i.e. proximity to Schelgkopf lifts, quality and choice of equipment, service, cost, flexibility in terms or exchanging gear, depot facilities etc, etc.

BarryOS, I skied lech while staying in St Anton. It's not overly large, so nothing should be to far away, I'd imagine it being more expensive though. Great skiing around there though

Hired very good skis last March in the shop that is part of or next to Hotel Tannbergerhof. Helpful staff and changed halfway through week.

Strolz in Zurs has ski hire, so I would assume the Lech store would also have it.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

BarryOS,
Plenty of hire shops in Lech - would probably just see which one fits your location better - most have a facility to enable you to leave your skis/boots in the shop overnight.
One thing to be prepared for is the cost - expect about 30% more than typical French hires, but then again, this is Lech.
Its a fantastic place, enjoy..
