Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for bootfitter Paris area

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi there,

I've heard countless advice on the importance of a good bootfitter. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to go in the area of Paris or Versailles. Or, are stores like Go Sport capable of fitting me properly and giving me sound advice.
Thanks for any help

lasnico17, You might want to check out le vieux campeur - although I suspect that they will be similar to the UK chains - not very good in the main. Where are you going to be skiing?

I don't suppose it'll make much difference, but it's AU not LE. I've boughtg camping gear there before, can't say I noticed much else - there's several branches so maybe they specialise in different locations.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for your responses... I'll check out both suggestions. I'm going to alpe d'huez for the season, but I would like to buy my boots before I get there to eliminate any chance of being stranded without boots.

lasnico17, I've never been to Ad'H, but I strongly suspect there will be boot shops aplenty. If you are there for the season, and buy locally, you should be able to go back to the bootfitter if you have any problems. I would wait till I get there

lasnico17, you have no chance of being stranded without boots - ADH has a zillion ski shops. Olivier Sports has a good reputation for boot fitting.
