Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

From Flaine to Les Deux

Hey all, newby here Smile
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on getting from Flaine to L2A over new years?
I'm doing a couple of tours and it seems pretty difficult to get from one to the other.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

RG81, then I would suggest Albertville, Motorway towards Grenoble, Rocade Sud, RN91 to Briancon. Should take no more than 4 hours by road. Unless of course you're thinking about public transport..

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I was hoping there would be some kind of public transport but its looking like I will be hiring a car from Cluses.
Is there any reasonably cheap public transport between the 2 resorts?

Much appreciated Smile

RG81, most public transport is cheap (certainly compared to the UK), but it could take you over a day to do that trip as there's nothing direct.

that's a tough one - car hire def the quickest. another (slim) option is to try to hitch a ride with a tour operator back to Geneva Airport, then try to find a transfer out. This would only be possible on transfer day (Saturday) and then still v risky of getting stranded in Geneva. I'd hire a car....

RG81, short of getting a lift from GVA (only Mark Warner go there from here), the trains and buses are not all that regular. It's possible but long and tedious. Best bet if you can is to rent a car as you said. Easy drive - do not use Sat Nav - it's useless round here - sends you to all sorts of fascinating places that you didn't really want to see. The latest example of this was at the PSB I believe. Very Happy

Thanks heaps for the advice.
The public transport does not look easy. I think I will just get dropped off at Cluses and get a hire car to L2A.

Cheers Smile
