Doubt it. Carte Neige is a French insurance option. There may be an equivalent in Austria but not aware of it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Carte Neige cover is worldwide but you might have trouble finding somewhere to buy it in Austria.
You may also find that the specific cover it offers you is less 'apropriate' for Austria than France.
It is a fairly specialist product and there may be things you particularly need cover for in France which you do not in Austria and things you would be wise to cover in Austria which may fall outside its remit.
Sorry I can't be more specific but I expect someone will know the details.

futurecut,
I know some Swiss resorts offer their local version of it. Engleberg, for example, sells insurance with its lift pass and I'd guess that Austria wouldn't miss this trick but I haven't been there lately so wouldn't know what it is called.
I wouldn't use Carre/Carte Neige in Austria as they might not recognise it the same way the French do

futurecut, its cover is worldwide, but you won't find anywhere in Austria selling it. It also won't pay your medical expenses or repatriate you should you need it.

My experience of Austrian accidents (Zell am See) is that the rescue people just took name and address and then posted the bill. This can then be forwarded to the insurance company.

futurecut, make sure you have UK based insurance, too, in case you need to get home by some expensive route (such as having a private ambulance and three seats for your bad leg!). When I bought my Carte Neige the guy in the ski club told me that it would be valid elsewhere, but that I'd have to pay up front then claim it back. So not so much point, really.

Cheers - i already have annual worldwide cover and sportsguard for paragliding that covers out of bound skiing too. I only really wanted the Carte neige for heli rescue as it's specialist and it doeasnt have the limitation of trips of 90 days or 30 days snowsports as i'm away all season. Ta
