Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The picture is a satellite radar of the pacific ocean, and if you look in the top right hand corner, you can see the coast of canada (outlined in a thin black line) The bright yellow and orange colours are precipitation...and the big swirl of yellow and orange is a storm...which will be heading straight for the coast.

Once it hits the coastal mountains of British Columbia - i.e. Whistler, it will rise, cool and dump lots of snow. Or so we hope Laughing

Don't worry. It's dumping big time in Austria right now. Lech and Zuers are cut off. The Arlbergpass is closed and the avalanche level is 4/5 Shocked In November that is a bit unusual. What's more it's scheduled to carry on like this until well into next week.
Now let's see whether I can shift that meeting on thursday...

Yes, that's the downside. A big dump of snow on no base at all makes for very dangerous conditions.
I expect to hear about avalanche injuries any moment. Sad

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

powhound, It's looking rather stormy on the Whistler webcam. Robbie says that it's tipping it down with rain in Pemberton today. We need the freezing level to start getting lower.
