Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I assume your benchmark is for single adult, in other words not looking at child, family, youth, senior or any other variations and concessions? I am also assuming no early booking discounts. If so then some Canadian ones are as follows:

Banff, Sunshine, Lake Louise (tri-area): CAD $1559

Lake Louise: CAD $999
Banff Norquay: CAD $599
Sunshine: CAD $859

and of course the price if your wife has just taken a job at Sunshine is 50% of the above snowHead snowHead snowHead

Can't be bothered to look up the actual price at this time of night, but a season pass for Big White and Silver Star (BC, Canada) costs in for less than 10 days of a 'normal' lift pass - assuming you pay before (about) mid September.

Done this for the past 10 years (or thereabouts), and when you cost in that they then give you a discount on accomodation, ski school, creche, ... , it becomes a bit of a no-brainer.

nbt, plenty of resorts do discount passes for locals - you usually have to produce evidence that you've paid taxe d'habitation in the relevant commune. There may also be discounts for workers, instructors, kids/families/old farts, Club des Sport members, early purchase etc etc.

With discount for property owners:
Les Arcs is €607
Paradiski is €679
Have to buy these before 1 December, otherwise the price reverts to standard public rates. Paradiski pass gives you some free skiing in other Tarentaise resorts (although this may have changed this season). If you buy a Paradiski pass you also get a free boot bag, so that's swung it for me Smile

Prices for proper residents of Bourg St Maurice (rather than holiday home owners) are significantly discounted I think, as low as a couple of hundred Euros IIRC.

I've not seen anything about the owners pass being confidential. IIRC the Paradiski pass is annual (covers summer lifts) but the Les Arcs pass isn't.
