Poster: A snowHead

Looking at a new touring boot for this season. Years ago I had the denali (red one) great for walking, ok for skiing. Now I understand these boots have come on a long way. My touring is all about the skiing, so thats short tours ( 2 hours max) looking for good snow. want a boot that has performance of a normal ski boot but with touring ability. Basicaly a hybrid boot. Any suggestions? Garmont has been suggested.

Scarpa Denalis are excellent boots, good stiff boots for skiing, & fine for skinning & hiking - I have the blue XT model, which has been superceded by the Denali TT - see them at Braemar Mountain Sports.
Not sure of your size, but I have just received Braemar's catalogue & they've got some old stock Denali XT size 7.5 for £120 - Bargain

Free-Rando, see; Garmont, Adrenaline, Endorphine, Axon. Dynafit, Z zero Carbon. Scarpa, Spirit 4. Fit is everything, but only Thermo liner versions, the standard liners suck. Get a bootfitter to do your liners and footbeds and modify the shells to your needs. Boots are not the way to save weight, that's bindings and after, skis. Don't buy on the net, save money on skis and bindings. Garmont do this best, Black Diamond are yet to be seen. Tecnica, haha.
