Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Despite booking early for next seasons half term, well early for me, nearly all the ski schools at Val Claret (except ESF) are nearly booked solid for the dates we needed for our group.

Because of this I've booked the victims, sorry beginners, in ESF but the others are in with BASS. However, I now find out that BASS meet at Le Lac, which I didn't know when I booked.

So, for 2nd/3rd year kids; which is the best way to get to the meeting point in Le Lac from Val Claret? Ski or bus? bearing in mind it'll be a last minute dash to get there on time every day.

Cheers folks.

Marc

Bus. There's no easy way to ski between the two, you have to go right up the mountain and back down.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'd be tempted to use the bus if the timings fitted. Otherwise, you could go up Tuffs and down in the Aeroski gondola (rather than ski down the black Trolles). Or on the other side it is all blues, but would involve at least 3 lifts - Tichot, Grattalu and Grand huit. I'd allow 3/4 of an hour for that Confused

The bus is pretty quick = they can't come to much harm - for local advice PM Steward Woodward who instructs with ESF there.

Looks like the bus then, at least it'll keep all eight of 'em together.

How long is it on the bus? We have to be there at 9.00am.

it's ten minutes on the bus, and they run from somehting like 7am. The lifts on the other hand don;t start till 8.45 or so, so you;d struggle to ski over there by 9am

The buses run 24 hours, at different frequencies; last season running every 15 mins from 8.30am.

Mosha Marc, I assume you've looked at Evolution 2 in Val Claret?

BTW, I haven't got any better suggestions than Ray Zorro. The bus has always seemd pretty efficient to me.

Yep, as of August, they only had afternoon slots for adults and morning for kids. They didn't even offer to babysit for three hours whilst the adults went out.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
