There is a strike in France on 18th October. Services will be affected from 20:00 on 17th October through to 08:00 on 19th October. Some services will not recommence until much later on 19th October – so if pax are aware that a train usually goes at 08:30 this may not run as rolling stock will be in the wrong place.

For travel on SNCF services to destinations within or through France
EXCHANGES WHILE TRAVELLING
Tickets for travel on 18 October may be used on the same route either the day before (17th) or the day after (19th) by changing them at the booking office. If this is not possible, the passenger must make the guard or other SNCF official aware that they are travelling on a ticket for 18th October.
SEAT RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED DURING THIS PERIOD.
EXCHANGES BEFORE TRAVEL
Tickets for travel on SNCF services between 20:00 on 17th October through to 08:00 on 19th October may be exchanged prior to travel without charge. The new date of travel must be within the booking horizon of 90 days from the return date of travel.
Passengers will need to return tickets to us once the new booking has been held by phone. We recommend these be returned by special delivery post, as we cannot complete the exchange unless and until we receive the tickets.
If passengers are travelling within the next 7 days we recommend that they purchase new tickets to travel and then return BOTH the old set and the new set to customer services (by special delivery) and we will refund the most expensive.
REFUNDS
Tickets for travel on SNCF services between 20:00 on 17th October through to 08:00 on 19th October may be refunded (regardless of the ticket conditions) if the passenger decides not to travel. Tickets must be returned to :
