Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,

The S&R ski 07/08 catalogue has a package offer for some Head kit as follows -

Head Xenon XI 3.5 RFB 07 Skis + RF 11 Bindings
Head Edge +8 Boots
Poles/Ski bag

for £279.

Does this sound like a good deal? What are these particular boots/skis like?

S&R do a deal like this every year, the kit is good at the level it is aimed at, improving intermediate the only worry is if the boots don't fit you, the Edge is a fairly high [read very high] volume fitr and if you have slim feet it will fit you like a bucket, if there is an option on an alternative boot or an upgrade option then it may be worth while

Mr M has Heads with this same problem. Went to see Julian at Ellis Bringham in Castleford who fitted these space filler things for a tenner. Obviously not as good as boots that fit properly but certainly better than before.

Skis are fine, boots are CEM's bag. Neither are a performance option but the package should make anyone who regularly skis on rented kit and doesn't set the slopes afire think again.
