Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

...I presently tune my own skis ( wax & edge),but would like to find out more about preparing skis for different conditions & the benefits of different angles of edges & bevels etc.
Does anyone know of a book, guide or website that may be of help.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Go to our very own snowHead
Spyderjon's
website. And if the exact info you need isn't there, you can always PM him.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I would be happy to also to answer any questions. although not my speciality I always do my own skis. If you are at
the EOSB
come along to the service chat that I do and check out the kit etc, first hand. It really is hard to get wrong and can make all the difference!!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Just been on Jon's Ski Tuning and what can I say? I thought I was doing the right thing when tuning my ski's! Looks like I could actually have damaged them. Just bought new one's and I will now be doing them completely different. Thanks for pointing us to the site Maggi.

Hmmm, interesting. Why would people try to tune their skis if they didn't know what they were doing? This could turn out expensive. Don't play with your skis unless you are sure of what you are doing (if you have an old pair, test your skills on them first. Ski tuning is not something that one can afford to get wrong.
