Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A few of us are looking to get in a pre Christams jaunt. Please would you advise on places for us to consider for this week. We will leave it to last minute to book but I'd like to know which resorts to be taking into consideration.

Thanks

Sam

All of them, if leaving it to the last minute - I thought that was one of the advantages? Puzzled

I agree with rayscoops, - ther e should be lots of accomodation available - book flights and car hire now to somewhere like Geneva - gives you huge number of options to choose from nearer the time.

SammyQ, I shall be in trouble for this, but I'd have to say consider LDA. We have the majority of our skiing above 2,000m, and with a glacier and summer skiing it's totally guaranteed (weather permitting) that you'll be able to ski. Lots of variety in restos and bars etc. fairly cheap for a big french resort, and only about 1½ hours by car from Grenoble airport. You can use the bus which is very cheap but takes a fair bit longer. Very Happy

Any resort with a village baseheight above 1800 meters should do the trick. Val d'Isere, Tignes, Val Thorens etc.
