Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Pretty obvious.

Saturday (morning?) worst (though we left Saturday afternoon in March this year and it was fine.)
Sunday not so bad
Other days ok.

Avoid Saturday, that's always the worst day. Sunday is not as bad as Saturday, but busier than Monday-Friday. One advantage of avoiding the roads on a Saturday is that the slopes are quieter than usual - it's the best day to ski.

Rob as it was a short break we skied on the Saturday and left Montchavin (La Plagne) 3.30pm and drove no problems to Geneva in March.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Saturday the worst? Are you sure?
I've never gone on a campervan to the alps (all round Scotland, yes) but presumably you need to park it somewhere.
After the weekend surely all the parking spaces are occupied.
I would have thought Saturday morning is just the right time to arrive.
That's when everyone is leaving: you can grab the best slot before some other swine nips in.

Jonpim, ... Laughing

Flow, .. It is crucial that you let me know when you will be arriving in the French Alps ... so I don't get stuck behind you .... Toofy Grin Laughing

.... and this I have purchased for errant Belgian & Italian drivers ..

Flow, Have you decided which resort/resorts you wish to visit? Some car parks do not allow M/Homes to park, some have designated areas, such as Tignes Val Claret. If you need any informatiopn of the Tarentaise, I can point you in the right direction.
