Im sorry if this has been asked many many times befor but im going to ask anyway.
For next seasons trip im going to hire some SALOMON Equipe GC or equivilent and was wondering what length I should go for?
im only 1.67 tall (5ft 6")
Weight 84 kg (about 13 stone ish I think)
Ive always set din to 6 but thats been for the last 3 years and im half a stone heavyer and sking level has obviously increased I feel I should be setting that quite a bit higher but im unsure.
Any suggestions on the size and settings for that type of ski.

I will be strictly piste for this trip (due to the group), which is why im going for that ski.
However if I feel the need to go off with another group I will hire a different plank.

Renry,
When hiring I often try different lengths of the same ski. From the 154, 162, 170 & 178 lengths I'd take a guess that the 162 (possibly the 154) would be the right length for you on the piste.

Renry, why not ask advice at the ski hire shop? It might vary a bit with conditions; some snow is "knee wrecking" stuff (thick, clumpy, not pisted, churned up, don't know what the official tech term is). 6 sounds quite high to me; if you're not finding they pre-release, why crank them up any higher? Even if they do, once or twice in a week, it is not a huge problem on ordinary pistes, and a lot less of a problem than a wrecked knee.

Renry, how many weeks have you skied in total... If hiring it is the shops responsiblity to set your Dins this will come off a chart and relate to your weight and boot length and possibly increase depending on your ability.
