Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wear The Fox Hat, now that has surprised me... £1.75 for a large beer in Aspen. For some reason I expected it to be far higher than that... good to know. What are the other food/drink prices like? Equally reasonable?

The bar in question - the Mountain Dragon - also does free hot nibbles during happy hour (potatoe wedges, chicken wings, dips)

You can get a delivery pizza for £12. This is a "large". A "large" is 18", and would feed 8 people. I didn't realise that when I ordered 2 of them between 6 of us. Shocked Laughing

On mountain food, for example a tuna melt (really stuffed) with a "side" salad worked out about £5.

You can eat expensively if you want, but why bother if you can get good food for less? We had dinner one night in the "Stew Pot", where I had a starter and a lamb shank for main. That worked out at under £10, even with the tip.

It's been mentioned before but IMHO worth mentioning again. Best value bar in Val D is the Grand Marnier bar. Must be sponsored/subsidised or something. crepes with as much Grand Marnier as you can pour (from large bottles on the counter) for a couple of Euro. 330ml cans of Kronenbourg for 2.80 but best of all, Double Grand Marniers for 1.70. They are 7 Euro or more in most bars. Very Happy
