When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Forest fires still threatening Teton Pass Ski Area

The Fool Creek fire burned near to the perimeter of the Teton Pass Ski Area yesterday, but left its two lifts, day lodge and ski shop untouched. The blaze has blackened 46,908 acres. The burned land included an area targeted for new ski runs and was within view of the existing ski operation....Nearly 80 homes and cabins remained evacuated on Friday. The blaze was one of three burning in the area. Combined, the fires have scorched about 41,705 acres, or just over 65 square miles.
