Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The perfect skiing weekend
Puzzled T

The London Evening Standard lists the skiing resort - Oukaimeden in Morocco which is at an altitude of 1800m to 4165m. Certainly one for the adventurous.

Its one hours drive from Marrakech. A five and a half hour walk up to the snow line at Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in north africa. Bring your own mule to carry bags and skis. Wink An overnight stay at a refuuge at 3,000m and then ski down. You will probably be the only skiers on the mountain. There is just one old two man chairlift in good condtion and there are at least 10 off-piste routes.

Guide, transport and ski pass for the day £38. Combine with a short break to Marrakech city.

Does it go in the hold, or can I take it in the cabin?

I once stayed in a B&B in Co. Kerry (on a cycling holiday), in which a Scottish couple were staying, along with a donkey they'd hired in Tralee. I had visions of a series of donkey-hire booths at the airport, where you'd normally see the car hire places. I also wondered how they reserved the beast. I suspect there'd have been quite a lot to sort through if they'd googled on "rent an ass" snowHead

This might suit Alan Craggs as he has his own mule, though I understand (see glorious days of colour) that it is a little poorly at the moment.

laundryman, that's pretty common, I know several people who have done that.

hibernia, a friend of mine was in Morocco a few years back, and she showed me photos of her skiing there - looked kinda crazy cause the snow rapidly turned to sand at the bottom of the run!
