Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has any one been to the above hotel in meribel?

It is one of the few places in Meribel willing to accept weekend bookings,but the website is a bit sparse on the information as if they are trying to hide something?I know it is basic accomodation but wondered whether any snowHead
have stayed here and could spill the beans before I book.

hedley, VERY basic and can be noisy as is directly above the pub with live music, i stayed in the summer and it was fine for my purposes but during a busy winter season dont expect to get much sleep....

skimottaret, thanks for that info.Is it horrendously Basic/ ancient plumbing/needs a refurb to bring up to reasonable modern standards or just clean ,plain and simple which would be fine for a fellas ski trip?

hedley, room was very small, shower was c**p and basic but would do for a boys tour i guess. I would be more worried about noise from the pub but if you plan to party late shouldnt be a problem...

have a look at this site for other hotels just type in Meribel in the search function. the Doron is across the street from La taverne. The adrey is nice and not too pricey.......
