Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

In summary - this season in Europe you are pretty screwed except for January. At least 6 weeks of this season plus the Xmas fortnight have UK school holidays that I know of.
Parents you've succeeded in spreading your peak pricing misery to the rest of us

Just looked up the German holidays and they seem to monopolise all other available dates:-
The Germans are on holiday
19th Decmber - 12th jan 2008
31st Jan - 16th Feb 2008
10th march - 5th April 2008
So i think that leaves just 2 weeks in January!!!!
Lets hope the Italians haven't got those covered

fatbob, That's due to the way Easter is taken this year I guess.
Its also why I'll be taking the kids out of school to go in Jan

Boris, Quite right. We have far too narrow a definition of education in this country. Skiing is education!!

Serre Chevalier is relatively free of German skiers, so 9th-22md march will be relatively child-free. Anyway, unless you count New Year and mid-February, they aren;t too much of a problem.

ickabodblue, I've certainly found it a lot more useful than the ability to recognise a drumlin when I see one, I have to admit.

we all know what a drumlin is - a small mogul, with a slightly flattened top. We should start a technical thread on how to ski them.
