Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salzburg/ Innsbruck flights - Feb half term

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Anyone got any good ideas for finding reasonably priced flights to Salzburg or Innsbruck - 9th-16th Feb 2008?

North/Midlands airports, ideally.

We've got the chalet sorted in Saalbach, but flights seem to be unusually high (£400+ return).

Cheers,
Chris.

Have you tried Jet2? They flew to Salzburg last winter.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think Thompsonfly also did Salzburg from Donny & Coventry, but only certain days.

Elizabeth B, Cheers, but yes - I've tried both. £357 with Jet2 and £400+ with Thomsonfly. I just feel that for those kind of prices we should be getting more than a packet of mini chedders.

Swissair from Manchester for under £300, but with two or more stop-overs on the way Shocked

There must be something I've missed............ Puzzled

chrisdavis,

You may have to make a compromise here... depending whether it is cost or travel time that matters most to you.

You either pay high fares for a shorter transer at the other end, or, if you want to save money, you may well find substantially cheaper fares if you fly to airports 3 - 4 hours away from the resort.

chrisdavis, you could always look at flights to Munich.

Ray Zorro, You're right - the cheapest fares involve multiple changes too. One was a 10 hour flight to get from Manchester to Salzburg Laughing

Elizabeth B, Charters - good plan, I'll ring Crystal etc and see if they sell flights only.

Munich........hmmmmm Very Happy

Thanks guys - food for thought!!

Chris.

chrisdavis, last September Ryanair had a 'sale' where all the fares were a penny, so it might be worth hanging on till then. Also, Thompsonfly were very cheap just a few days before Smile flying but I dont suppose you want to leave it that late.

hope that helps
