Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are going to Grimentz, next Feb half term. My youngest will need ski school/creche.

How long before, do people usually book?

Should I be thinking of doing it now?

Why not book now? I can't see any benefit to waiting.

ssnowman, Depends who you go to. If it's a small operation the sooner the better to be sure. If it's a big school then probably about 6 weeks before your holidays. Not many of the bigger schools have much of a staff in the summer though, so be prepared to wait to here. Best is to send a recorded delivery letter, then they can't say they didn't get it cos it got lost in the summer stuff!

I'm a Northerner, I like to hold on to my money as long as possible.

Also, I'm not sure if ski schools are open to take bookings in summer.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

easiski, thanks for the advice. There are 2 ski schools, I picked up leaflets about them when I was there last week. So I'll decide which sounds the most suitable & try to get in touch with them.

ssnowman, there are a couple of Grimentz experts here, including brian who owns an apartment there. Maybe send him a PM to ask his advice?

ssnowman, We've used the ESI (www.ins-ski.ch). They've been fine and max class size is 6. We've not used the ESS but have seen them out and about with a dozen or more kids in tow so I think we'll stick with ESI.

Which week is your half term ? I'll be out Feb 9-17.
