Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

jase2472, Yes, we stayed 2 years ago and were very impressed. We usually go to small family owned hotels and chalets and this is a large, posh-ish hotel. Rooms were clean, warm and loads of hot water. There is a pool which others in our group used and liked, the bar is in a large comfy lounge, the ski/boot room is a good size with individual lockable lockers, food was good ( a buffet style, but lots of choice and no tummy problems that we were aware of), friendly staff etc. The hotel backs onto the bottom of the village-run piste, but it's really not possible to ski to door. However, there is a minibus service to the lifts/gondola which ran pretty faultlessly - two 12 seater buses running in shuttle, and it's a 2-3 minute drive.

There is also a decent bar 30 seconds away, where we spent a memorable apre-ski time - we had great laugh, Spanish-sized drink measures, freshly cooked tapas and when we left, my friend (not a big drinker) declared she'd "had a fabulous night" - we had to remind her it was ten past six! Laughing

Hotel can be recommended on our experience snowHead

Anniepen,
I suspect the bar you are talking about would be Che Paulo, it used to be really good value, food wise but he has really upped his prices to pay for his new Hummer rolling eyes . I have eaten there lots over 5 years, even midweek in Oct it used to be heaving, but sadly now it is not as popular.
But back to the subject, yes it is a good hotel but just a bit out side both Soldeu and El Tarter so if you want night life, it is just a bit far for a comfortabe evening stroll.
