Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Nup not in Europe. This location is defnitely geographically in the Middle East, as is 95% of Turkish land and 99% of their culture.

Wow, that looks very impressive!

But I don't see any mention of skiing. Seems strange - is there a resort up there already, or will that be the next project?

I'd call it the Near East, rather than the Middle East. Asia, certainly. Not so sure of the culture thing either: Ataturk did a lot to turn Turkey into a more western, secular state - chaning to the Latin script being one example - so 99% may be an exaggeration.

Turkey is actually in Western Asia - for those non-Eurocentric readers wink

Turkey is Eurasian.

It is multi-regional.

It is partly in Southeast Europe, partly in the near-East and partly in the Middle East.

Most top-tier multinationals place Turkey under their Mideast and Africa regions.

Whitegold, if you take the UN as knowing where most countries are wink - and assuming countries agree to their UN classification, then Turkey is not 'Eurasian' at all (whatever that is) but Western Asian.

Ray Zorro - looks like that resort is 'new', I couldn't find any links to the skiing there at all, other than references to 'the new ski resort of Tahtali'.
