It's been filming all winter(without too much sucsess) but the crew are now leaving Chamonix to go to Argentina. Lets hope the come up with the goods, for what will be the most eagerly awaited 'Ski-Porn' remake of all time!

hyweljenkins, odd? I've a 600x800 central 'page' with transparency over the b'ground. Works fine at 1280x1024, 1024x768 & 800x600 on CRT. I'll fire up the PC later and see what it looks like on LCD. My main thought is that it's VERY fast loading, smooth transitions, intuitive and easily read . . . it may be just the designer in me.

The accounts I've heard say it will be the "Wicker Man" of remakes.

davidof, It's been hard this winter, i know the guy making the film and he wont release unless it's worthy of the title. It may re-edit next winter.

I hope so however Apocalypse Snow without monoskiers is going to be like Penne Al Arrabbiata without the Arrabbiata. It may be a good ski movie but it won't be Apocalypse Snow, just something trading off the franchise.

Masque, it maximises the window with a centralised Flash movie.

I should add that I'm a big fan of Didier Lafond's style which is a change from a lot of the crappy adrenalin charged choppy film work that passes for action ski films we see these days. He's done some excellent work with Dominique Perret.
We'll have see how Apocalypse works out, to be honest by the third for the original series things were getting a bit thin so maybe the 20+ years break will have been good.
I watched some of the early studio scenes of "le Retour" filmed last year and they didn't do much for me. Since then some of the press rumours about how commercial interests have had too much influence in the filming are a bit worrying, but then much of what the press writes is rubbish.
Seriously though Apocalypse Snow without Mullets, Snow Scooters and the Zorb, well that's like Taggart without that oriental guy Mark McManus.
