Hoping to take my 2 sons away for either a week or long w/end in mid april , any tips on where we should be still able to find some decent snow . Just back from serre che & snow wasnt the best , many thanks for any top tips

Thanks , unfortunately i'm tied to the northern irish school holidays & when my ex wife will let me take kids away !!!! So dates of esob are out i'm afraid

Lower slopes didn't have much cover, were patchy also the lower u got the slushier the snow became altho apparently they have had some fesh snow since we left 2 weeks ago

gary2474, I see - but I'm surprised you were expecting good lower conditions - the low snow has been poor this season and SC is down to around 1400m isn't it? this season has been all about high snow. I had heard that the higher slopes in SC had been in very good nick all season. Keep an eye open in Snowheads for next time on the snow reports. Welcome BTW.

gary2474, if you are still looking for ideas, then Les 2 Alpes would be a good choice. Others not yet mentioned could be Cervinia/Zermatt, Saas Fee, Hintertux, Obergurgl, Ischgl.
