March 10th so not that late in the season, but conditions were pretty bad generally that year....

Did Bulgarian architects demonstrate similar genius in ski resort design, as demonstrated by the giant football in this photo? No, not taken in Bulgaria.

Matteo, I've yet to spot a 3 storey high football there! Right architectural inspiration though. Probably have to wait for ski bunny to drop in to guess this one, she'll know...

Is it one of the French Pyrenees resorts, can't remember the name but am sure I've seen that ball there on another pic.

Les Orres. The clue about Ski Bunny helped!
I've seen similar snow conditions skiing down to Morillon 1100 in late March. Great piste but everywhere in view green really strange!

Chris Reed, that's the one, noted for being one of the coldest resorts in the southern Alps. They just about managed to stay open until mid-April. A real monstrosity, that football, (houses the ESF).
