Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lastminute.com / SKIHORIZON.com - any experience?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Has anyone had any experience of ski horizon? I booked a holiday with them through lastminute.com. I have had 2 confirmation emails from them and a couple of calls to discuss bed arrangements (always from a lady I can't really understand very well due to broken english). I phoned last minute (after fannying about with their ridiculous automated system) to see if they could help with the bed thing, but they have no record of my booking or any record of my details. They also said "ski horizon is a completely different tour operator" suggesting they don't deal with them...despite their website forwarding through to ski horizons website.

So, skihorizon seem to have a record of my booking, but last minute don't despite the fact I ordered through their website. Has anyone dealt with ski horizon? It would be nice to know whether I am dealing with a reputable company or not.

Thanks,

Tim

SkiHorizon are I think Dutch and have always been really helpful when i have dealt with them. Booked three or four times and has always worked out fine. Next time I should book direct with them if I were you.

I booked a cheapish break in Alpe d'Huez directly through skihorizon.com the year before last. Completely hassle-free, everything turned out exactly as described on their website.

Just phoned them and they were very helpful. The bloke said it is "normal" for lastminute not to have any of my details despite booking through them! I won't be using last minute again.

Anyway, all is good, apart from the fact I'm having to share a double bed with my mate Shocked, but they are looking into it and hoping to get a room with to single beds.

Thanks for the comments.

Lastminute and Expedia are only good for simple things I find, and then they are a bit of a let down. I once booked a hotel and found out when I got to the other end that the hotel booking hadn't gone through to the hotel but the hotel manager was nice enough to give me the rate advertised which is pretty unusual. So thumbs up to Novotel but a big thumbs down to Expedia Neh Neh
