Poster: A snowHead

Hi
I'm lucky enough to be squeezing a last trip to Courcheval on the 7th April, this time taking along two beginners.
We have them booked in with ESF (as its cheap!) I'm assuming we should be able to get English instruction, not sure
how easy they would find it in French!
I'm looking at two choices for me and Mrs Monkfish lesson wise, either group lessons with NewGen or 4 x 2 hour privates
with ESF, obviously hopefully again in English. At the moment ESF are faves as last time in Tignes the ESF lesson with Stuart Woodward
was far more helpful than the expensive English ski school group lessons.
How quiet is it at Easter, are privates with decent teachers easy to come by? Any recommendations for teachers preferably in 1650?
All help or advice appreciated
Cheers
Jeff

Monkfish,
You could be lucky and get a great teacher with ESF, like you did in Tignes. But it's a bit hit and miss. Safer bet is to go with NewGen, at least you're guaranteed top tuition delivered in English.
Enjoy your trip.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

New Gen have a good reputation, and Supreme in 1850 are worth the trek up too. As language is an important factor to you, I would think the guarantee of a native speaker would be worth the extra money. Quite a few of the ESFers I've overheard in Courchevel leave something to be desired in terms of their English - although there are native speakers working for them too I believe

Monkfish, you'd be best to specify in advance that your beginners speak only English, but there are so many Brits in Courchevel that I can't imagine that being a big problem. Make sure you hire them really short skis. Have fun.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
