Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New snow to the rescue in Eastern Switzerland

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Already in the last 2 days there is over 1m new snow in the mountains of Central Switzerland. And more will come this week. This has pretty much ensured that areas like Flumserberg and Hoch Ybrig should be able to stay open until their planned season end dates. Hoch Ybrig has gone from 40cm at the top to 160cm. Flumserberg seems to have got less. They are now hoping for sunny weather over Easter to make the season a bit more profitable.

Reported in the 20 Minuten free paper this morning was that some skilifts in the Zuercher Oberland have been running for the first time this winter.

Many places which had already closed will stay closed like the Ski Mythen region. My favorite family place, Hoch Stuckli, is reopening for this weekend though with skiing from 800m-1500m. A few days ago they were talking about the start of the spring season and their summer toboggan run.

stanton, a common theme seems to be that people are already driving on summer tyres.
