boredsurfin, tbh, no. Looks like it will be cold enough but difficult to see where the precipition's going to come from that would reach Hampshire on a straight Northerly. Convective showers are possible I suppose.
North Wales, N Ireland, East Anglia, possibly Yorkshire and Kent and obviously Scotland (I have high hopes for this setting up the weekend of the 24th/25th) are the best bets I think.

Michelle, and temperatures dropping to about -13. Just as I was thinking of leaving my winter-weight jacket at home...

The only thing that surprises me is that every year it snows in March and that people are still surprised by it

You know it makes sense.

I like the idea of "organised troughs". That sounds like a get-stuck-in-as-many-pies-as-you-like kind of event!

FenlandSkier, every year it snows where, in March? It snowed in our town in Cheshire in March last year for the first time that I can remember (and I've lived here for 17 years). Or are we talking about the Alps? (I'm lost and confused as to where "here" is, now, on this thread )

FenlandSkier, I remember being snowed in for three or fours days in mid-March, definite about the date as it was my friends birthday, and it was St. Patrick's Day. Looking at the Alpine temps, I should take my other jacket too.
