Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tour Operator Crystal - generally Ok and helpful. Only group was that the beginner group had 24 people in with 1 instructor and what looked to be a trainee. Way too much standing around. On day 2 the SO switched to 1:1. Probelm not resolved until midway through day 3. No refund offered, though to be fair we didn't push it.

Accommodation Hotel Montane - couldn't have been better sited, right across from the gondola. Hotel was on the basic side, but very clean, comfortable and well run. Food was about what was expected and no complaints. Bar staff incredibly friendly and helpful, esp Danny and Ebba - both Spanish. Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed every other. Occassional sewage waft, but not bothersome. Dinner was a choice of 3 starters, 3 main and 3 dessert. Wine and bottled water extra.

Equipment hired from Pic Neige (2). OK service, though thought the "expert" level skis at €115 a little on the high side. There are some excellent deals to be done on boot purchase. The SO bought some brand new, custom fitted Heads for €90! Should point out these were from La Rousel at the top station. Ask for Armondo.

Resort very friendly, some nice bars (X bar, Siscos). The Argentinian restaurant, Surf (by the gondola) serves some excellent beef, but be warned it's a meat fest place mainly and the portions are huge. There is a terrific Andorran restaurant that specialises in typical fayre La Taubert (I think). Excellent service, warm, welcoming and individual. A little pricey, if you're on a budget. We paid about €40 a head for appetiser, 3 courses, a bottle of good wine, coffee and water.

Main town Andorra La Velle - excellent shopping and some great deals on practically everything! About 20kms and regular buses.

Mountain restaurants El Refugi was our favourite. Friendly, inexpensive, OK food (caters to mass market) if a little slow on occasion. The Panoramix at the main station is large with a number of options and OK on the whole.

Overall a pleasant resort, well run and friendly. A good place for those looking for a reasonably inexpensive stay and ideal for beginners.
