Poster: A snowHead
|
Most of the ones I have liked most have been in Austria, often in smaller resorts. Trouble is I just know them typically as "that one at the bottom of that red off the four seater chair over that way" so no use for recommendations for anyone. It is quite nice though, as when I revisit I have the pleasure of "finding" good places all over again.
More seriously, if you make notes, and specifically revisit places years or decades later you are often disappointed - many places go through a "golden era" but it's rare for that to last for decades.

Any mountain restaurant in Courchevel. 7 euros for a large orangina. Believe me that paying that much does actually convince you that it is a superior to any other orangina |
Although La Soucoupe is worth it if you like watching large slabs of meat getting cooked on an open stove.
Anyway, I avoided the Orangina, opting instead for a better value €30 glass of rustic French red...

Turkey Chilli, Royal Street Cafe, Deer Valley, USA. When it was really cold and despite neoprene masks, foot and hand warmers we were still numb, a bowl of this was amazing.
