Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sure these have been reviewed before, but since I can't find the review immediately, here goes.

Skied these hire skis (162cm) last week in the Grand Massif, pretty much entirely on-piste, with a couple of forays into the unchartered stuff. Not much powder, so no real way to test 'em out on that, but plenty of crud around from early afternoon on.

I can confidently say that though the conditions weren't great (they were OK-ish), this was some of the most fun I've had on skis ever. I am pretty much in love, and was considering walking off with them at the end of the week. For my (limited) frame (5'8", 10st7) they were just great - responsive, but forgiving, really easy to turn, held an edge nicely and extremely quick. As both the skis and me aren't that heavy they did bounce around a bit on the crud, but the plus side is that they turned so nicely that (mostly) I could pick a path between. They had loads of speed on the wide reds; I certainly didn't outpower them (not for want of trying). I guess my skiing level is upper intermediate (of the adventurous sort).

Officially, they're all mountain skis. I reckon they have a heavy piste-bias, but as that's what I guess most of us do for most of the time, that's no bad thing.

Luvverly skis. That's all for now.
