Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone else noticed a bit of a (actually a huge) discrepancy on the netweather site regarding its forecasts for Les Arcs?

Just looking today, and wheras Snow Forecast is predicting temps around - 6 and 35cm of snow over the next two days, Netweather is showing temps around +10 Shocked and a bit of rain. Strangely the forecast for La Plagne on Netweather is for -ve temps and heavy snow.

It looks to me like the data for Les Arcs is just wrong?

It looks like moderate to heavy snow in Les Arcs, above roughly 1800m, for most of the coming week.

Netweather is now showing a temperature of 17.5c for next Saturday Shocked That's practically summer! SnowForecast is showing 2c. I thought these sites were both driven by the same GFS model? Can anyone explain the 15 degree discrepancy?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It looks like zero iso is gonna ramp right up to around 3000m this weekend, so some temporary rain, sleet and melting might be in order for a day or two.

'cos it's too far away! Worry about it later in the week if it's still showing such a high temp!!

kitenski, Just tried looking at the forecast for tomorrow. The site is now crashing with an 'untrapped error'. But from memory there was quite a difference (at least 5 or 6 degrees) for even the 24 hour projection.???

There is definetly something weird about this site and Les Arcs. Looking at Snow-forecast temps are showing as MAX -4 and 0 for today and tomorrow. Netweather shows Average +18.9 and +16.5 for the same days!

They cannot be using the same models. BTW does anyone know what the actual temps in resort are? (my bet is they are nearer to freezing than +16).
