Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Easter Trip - can I reduce the price, esp. Lift Passes

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Really really really want to get a 2nd trip this year, recent events mean we could do with a break.

I've priced the total trip at £1800 - this is for all travel, passes, lessons, ski hire. Is self-catering for family of 5 based on actual costs over Xmas. Destination Vallandry/Les Arcs

This seems ok, but the biggest single item by far is the Family Lift pass at 660euros. More than the apartment!

Would booking at last min produce savings? Or do I just have to cough up?

BTW any "pimp my apartment" offers welcomed Cool

Boris, I'm not aware of any ways of getting discounted lift passes for Les Arcs/Paradiski other than the family rate; group discounts (but need to be in a large group); property owners (I get a discount on season passes only); or local residents (big discounts on season passes if you have lived locally for several years). Other than those exceptions it seems to be one rate no matter how you buy.

Can't help with accommodation I'm afraid, as I'm using my place for Easter.

Boris, Not sure about lift pass prices for your planned destination, but many swiss resorts would issue free passes to kids of the age of yours.

Boris, not a lot that can be done about the pass prices. Other than somewhere with a cheaper lift pass. Serre Che's family pass is €560 euros. but I think there are discounts available at that time of the season, usually starting on Easter Monday, although they aren't advertised on the website . Lift pass is free if under 6, and family pass applies to kids under 18.

Boris, Might be worth asking PG over on mysnowsports.com if there will be a reduction or a family pass
