Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

jollykay, Order them from here and you will get them half price. Postage to UK £9 and add a bit of import tax on them and they will still be cheaper.

jollykay,
Fernie has 3 fairly decent ski shops, but don't expect fantastic choice.

Fernie isn't exactly a fashionista's paradise and the only ugg boots you're likely to see will be on the feet of some feral Aussie ski bums at a guess. You really wouldn't want to buy them unless you have a particular fetish wink

jollykay, buy them from M and M Direct here in the UK (go to www.mandmdirect.com and type "ugg" in product search). I buy so much stuff from them as it is cheap cheap cheap. They're a bit limited on sizes at the moment as most have gone, but the Ugg Women's Sundance sheepskin boots are available in sizes 7 and 8 for £89.99. The tall version is available in 3.5 only, for £79.99. Or they've got the leather with sheepskin lining boots (the women's Ugg Dunwich boots) in lots more sizes for £119.99 (RRP is £219.99 on these more posh boots).

If you do buy a pair, make sure you get a sole that is suitable for snow/ice as the normal sole will have you sliding around.
Also waterproof them otherwise the suede will get water damaged and it will help with keeping them clean (or just get a dark colour).
As for buying them in Fernie, only thing I can think is to order them from a us/canadian site and get them delivered to your accommodation.
As for the fact that they're over in the fashion stakes
1: who cares, they are fantastic at keeping you feet warm and dry in very cold conditions.
2: they are the most comfortable thing you can put on your feet after you have taken your ski boots off, just pure heaven.
3: they will come back into fashion one day, I had a pair 15 years ago in NZ, very hardwearing lasts for years, only got rid of them as all the wool had worn away inside,
and yes, I do have a pair in my closet, what sort of fetish should I be on the look out for. Little Angel
