Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mate - I'm not able to help with the forecast ( apart from THIS )which I imagine you have been checking hourly, just like me Very Happy

I'm going out there on the 27th - and whilst a fresh covering over the weekend would be nice, I am quite happy that at least we will have a decent layer to play in now Madeye-Smiley

Meteo FR is predicting snow in the region on Friday above 2000m.

Meanwhile tomorrow it is due to be 13C in most of Eastern France.

Yes, freezing levels pretty high towards the weekend, but maybe they'll drop in later forecasts. Hope so, or there's gonna be a lot of rain around.

dazman, I feel your angst, I'm heading there on Sunday. I'm no expert but hope these links work. If not there's plenty of discussion in the two recent Andorra forums that'll lead you to them.

Netweather Seems to be the most optimistic, suggesting there will be light flurries of snow until the weekend and the possibilty of some heavier showers (either rain at lower levels or snow higher up) until Monday.

The highly addicitive Wetterzentrale suggests lowish temperatures with some precipitation (fingers crossed for snow) through the weekend and a cold day on Monday, after that temperatures could go up quite a lot.

Metcheck This is for Pas de la Casa, but you'll find other Andorran resorts. Shows freezing levels below 1800m (the bottom of the resort) for most of the next few days, so if there is precipitation it should be snow above that point (I think). Beyond Monday it also suggests the freezing level (and perhaps temperatures will go up).

Andorramania suggests light snow on Saturday then a cloudy week.

It's been said before, anything beyond three days really isn't certain. So my highly optimistic interpretation is for some fresh snow over the weekend just in time for me to hit the slopes on Monday, then I'm hoping the predictions for higher temperatures later in the week are completely wrong! Either way, there should be enough of the white stuff and plenty of bars to have a great time.

Sorry chaps. Unless you're going somewhere 2000m+ I wouldn't get too many hopes up. I can't believe that way the warm temps are sticking about for the foreseeable future - right up to the end of Feb and no real signs of change beyond that. There'll be some bits of snow about higher up in resorts, but apart from the few bits that come during the night, any precipitation that falls lower down (less than about 2000m) almost certainly will be rain. Stay high...

We just had the same problem in Germany and had to endure an hour and a half's travel at the start and end of the day to get to and from the Zugspitze area to get good snow, but boy was it worth it!

dazman, two sleeps to go and to me it's looking a bit better. Snow on Saturday, more on Sunday and maybe Monday. Cold though on Monday and warmer later in the week. Fingers crossed temperatures don't get too high and it could be a great week. Have a good time.
