Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just back from Murren

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Left Murren this morning with a minute overnight dusting in the village. There were some moguls forming on the Schilthorn yesterday, there was good but very hard packed skiing on the Engetal lifts. The Kanonenruhr was passable. Schiltgrat was skiable at the top but slush lower down after lunch. Gimmeln was open but did not look remotely inviting. Maulerhubel and Winteregg were punishment not pleasure. The nursery slopes were strips of artificial snow surrounded by green pastures. Do not know how to upload photos but perhaps better not!

skilegs, would love to view them anyway as we are there this weekend and would rather see the damage now. The good news is snow is forecasted this weekend too !!

How was Wengen compared to Murren ?

Chris Brookes, Will try and upload some pix today. IMHO and not wishing to upset the Murrenites, Wengen was much better although it looks green from the train. The Mannlichen runs were fine down to Holenstein. The run to Brandegg was hard and fast and the apple fritters a welcome reward. Lauberhorn and Wixi also pretty good - everything is hard packed but the pisteurs seems to have been working overtime to maintain the runs. North facing runs are particularly hard and tough on the knees. The Standard was also open to Innerwengen. You could just ski back to the Hirschen. I do hope it snows for you and also for the hoteliers who seem to have forgotten how to smile!
