As a massive Whistler fan, it has fallen to me to organise a lads holiday to Whistler flying from Manchester on 3rd March.
I can't seem to find anyone who can do this!
It doesn't matter what the accommodation is, I just want to book something.
Someone, somewhere must know of a solution to my problem.
Any ideas???

Jack Hallam, you may find you can do DIY more easily if you're flexible with dates. We booked well in advance, and the flights would still have cost us an arm and a leg, but my bro-in-law works for BA. We saved about a thousand (4 of us) plus on DIY,and even more compared to an identical package, and it was still bloody expensive, and I don't think my finances have recovered yet!! . Was it worth it? Hubby and kids (but see below) say 'yes', I disagree. Couldn't see what all the fuss was about really. Lunch was cr*p (apart from brunch at the Chateau), evening meals expensive, and we couldn't enjoy much apres, as teens weren't allowed in the bars after 7.30 (!). An expensive holiday, and I wished I was elsewhere. I've had far better Easter trips elsewhere.

Helen Beaumont, Hmmm no joy with Ski Independence. We can all only go in that one week so it looks like it might have to be something nearer to home. Areat place Whistler real shame as I've been banging on to them about what a great place Whistler is.
Looks like Val D'Isere might be having some more Brits thrown at them! Lucky, lucky French!

Specialists in tailor made, I used them to sort out a 3 resort trip and they worked out cheaper than anything I could pull together..
Give them a crack

Jack Hallam,
I think Zoom might fly to Vancouver from Manchester.
As mentioned above, there really isn't much point getting a package as everything is dead easy to sort seperately. Get flight to Vancouver, get Perimeter to Whistler, get accomodation through Allura, haggle a bit, (or just do a search on line), buy lift tickets on WhistlerBlackcomb website (in fact you can sort everything through this but is probably going to be more expensive).
Whistler is never going to be cheap though (but neither is Val Despair - and I know which one I'd go to!).

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Whack on the tellyfizzle.
Go to page 226 on ITV1 Teletext.
Surf the 40'ish pages of ads.
Pick up the blower and get booking.

Jack Hallam, Zoom do fly from Manchester, every wednesday, id do most stuarth says, Zoom are great, perimeter coaches are good, lift passes are sometimes good to book through your accomodation direct, i stayed at legends in creekside they did us a great deal, discounted lift passes, top notch accomodation, also try expedia.com, they can have some great deals.

You know it makes sense.

Jack Hallam, used both Ski I and Frontier ski to Whistler last year and this year. Both very good
It's a bit of a hassle but we flew into Calgary and then transfer to Vancouver as we couldn't get direct flights. Might be worth considering if flights prove hard to find

Booked flights through zoom (top end ones i.e bigger seat, meals, free booze etc), private transfer through Perimeter and twin rooms at the Listel Whistler. Total cost £950! A bargain in my book.
Can already taste the Chilli Nachos in the Longhorn!
Jet lag will be a sod as we're only going for a week. Any suggestions for quick recovery/avoidance when we arrive?

Easy. Don't partake of the free booze on the flight. Makes huge difference.
However, as it's a lads holiday - enjoy the in-flight session and tough luck re first day on the slopes
