Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know of anyone in resort (sauze d oulx or nearby) who woudn't mind making some extra cash teaching some ski novices for a few hours a day in mid march 2007? thinking here of the guy/girl in the hire shop/bakers/supermarket or any other local or indeed someone out there doing a season, BASI training or something. Not super familar with the BASI set up but trainees def have to get their teaching hours in and logged.
On a bit of a budget here and cant really afford the 50 euros / hour from the local schools. Thanks people

, welcome to Snowheads. In our local (French) resort private lessons are 52 euros for two hours, and that can cover two people, so maybe you should go somewhere cheaper?? 13 euros an hour is pretty affordable. France has all kinds of regulations which make "informal" (ie unqualified) ski teaching pretty impossible but when you can get a highly qualified and experienced instructor for 13 euros an hour (less, if there are 3 or 4 of you) why would you bother?

, €50 per hour between more than one is hardly expensive. Very bad idea to use unqualified peeps. You have no idea what they'll teach, they are likely to choose poor terrain (always happens with unqualifieds), and your friends are likeluy to have a poor first experience). Bite the bullett and book the private lessons between them, it's not too many pints of beer is it?

Use the local checkout boy/girl who will be totally uninsured, probably have no real experience & will not know how to give your kids a good time and develope their skiing.
I presume you also use the local Tesco checkout boy/girl to teach them maths
