Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anybody used carhire3000.com to book carhire from geneva - swiss side? They seem to be a fair bit cheaper than other companies and was wondering if there is a catch? Thanks for any feedback.

loatie, they are simply yet another a site which finds you the best deal. I have used them for other airports but not Geneva. Check very carefully what car you actually book, as we ended up with a Daewoo Matiz, and I thought i'd booked a Golf (or similar). I think the car hire desk was Europcar.

loatie, I've used them once at GVA, got a car with Budget. There was a local charge they hadn't told me about for chains or winter tyres or both, iirc, which I thought was a bit naughty, but it was only a one day rental so I wasn't too bothered over a couple of quid.

Yep I used them 4 weeks ago. Got a car thru Avis. Their rate was slightly cheaper than Avis's official one.
Winter equipment (chains) was included but I had to pay an extra 40CHF for ski racks.

I've also used them to hire a car in Las Vegas and was extremely pleased with their service. It's cheaper than going direct and they're helpful if you need to pick up your car a day late for instance, eg. if your flight is cancelled. Unlike Hertz who charge you twice!!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the info everyone - given me food for thought. Loatie

loatie, try ebookers or this link for comparison, as they have been working out cheapest for snowheads recently.
