Poster: A snowHead

Hi there,
Have used the funicular before but cannot remember if there is a carpark beside the base station (last time I was walking from the train station so no need to park car)
.. if yes, would anyone be able to tell me how much it costs per day?? (or if you're allowed to leave cars there for more than 1 day?)
thank you!

Yep - Huge car park
Its free and there doesn't seem to be any restrictions on long term parking
Just don't park on the left hand side of the track as you go in as this is sometimes used for buses at weekends

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Kieran,
great - thanks for that!
hedging my bets at the mo' - flights to geneva booked for 21-25 Feb - either going to choose Zermatt, Les Arcs or Tignes for the 4 days .... snow situation in all 3 looks good at the mo' with the french resorts probably ahead .. but the hotels in Zermatt would win brownie points with the missus... choices choices ....

In these days of global warming and the effect of lift systems on the environment blah blah, don't you think it's irresponsible to attach carparks to funiculars?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Marcus, i think if you attached a car park to a funicular, the funicular wouldn't go very far up the hill ...
