even the Alpe d'Huez website isn't claiming that. snow conditions are looking a bit tasty, subject to avalanche danger calming down a bit

80cm reported at the top of Aiguille du Midi in Cham... 50cm at mid station in Brevent. Should cover up plenty of rocks off-piste.

There is a VAST amount of snow at ADH this morning. A lot of the upper runs were closed for blasting, but things were opening up this afternoon.

Sorry if i am being a bit thick but surley 44cm = 440mm = approx 1ft 6 inches NOT 13ft !!
Even man inches can't stretch to 13ft

stewart woodward, an old friend of boredsurfin's used to claim (on another site which is no more) that there had been a 13ft dump one night in La Rosiere. It has never been confirmed.
