Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Courmayeur in April & Radios

Annual trip out to Courmayeur 1 week starting from 1st April.

Current numbers up to 25, any Snowheads in the area same time?
We all used radios last time. We found a channel we could all tune in on, cant remember which channel but I do know all the different radios we had could tune in. Great tool, taking turns picking the kids up from ski school and also meeting up for lunch etc. Managed to get comms from Courmayeur village to top of mountain. Does anyone have any advise on channels, are there some better than others, is there any that we should stay away from.
We will be out there and all tuned in so it could be a way of meeting up with new people there, that is if you can get a word in edgeways with our foolish and non stop mountain banter.
We even managed last year to have one of the kids leave a radio at ski school. The school found it and called us on the channel we were on and we managed to get it back. Top marks to the Scuola di Sci Monte Bianco

Dek as far as i know there is no channel that is better than others

we genrally find a random number such as 3-16 is better than 1-1 or 2-2 etc just because there is less traffic

a common channel for snowheads seems like a good idea though!
