Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

pam w, with our roofbox, we are 2m 7cm , so don't risk the T lanes, Boredsurfin and Alastair are the experts here I think. We took ours to the PSB when we had a hire car, saved us a load of time at Creuseilles on the Sunday night. In March we are going without mini (!)-Beaumonts, so won't bother with the box. The badge will be on the windscreeen.

Ann, I'm going down on Friday and will check out if EVERY toll has a peage lane without a height restriction. On our last rip Xmas/Nye I feel sure there were more Telepeage lanes, so I think the operators may be expanding the service at the moment.

The fixed height are only in the Reserved lanes, (usualy one or two at each peage) the dual purpose lanes are not height restricted.

Restricted height lanes are a combination of fixed steel girder or suspended chains. Best plan to be under 2m for reserved lane use only. Signs warn of 2m, but I never got out and measured!

DAVID SNELL, thanks for that one. I always wondered about that truckers services but IIRC it is not signed from the dual carriageway.
