That's good news for Kwame, I love the fact that he's managed to get a snow leopard print costume, it should certainly make him stand out on the slopes

You gotta love this guy. The merchandise looks great although not sure it compliments my wardrobe.
He's got a start number of 97 in today's qualification race. I'd imagine it'll be a little tough to qualify from back there

I have to say, that whilst I don't think he has a hope in hell (unless there are a lot of crashes) of getting into even the top 20 I really admire his spirit and his efforts to do well, I really hope that I'm wrong and that he somehow manages to get a fantastic result.
As an individual I wish I had just 1/10th of his drive and determination as it is an inspiration to everyone to do better, now if British sportsmen and women could just get similar inspiration perhaps we could get a bit more pride in this country

Ghana's Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong, skiing in a fake leopard skin suit in temperatures below minus 10 Celsius, failed to qualify, finishing last, over a minute off the pace. |

Elizabeth B, oh dear, still at least he got mentioned as did the suit which could help with future sponsorship deals, I hope so

I agree with DG Orf that the guy is an inspiration - I wish I could find just a little of commitment he has .
However, there was a short clip of him on the TV news last night skiing at MK and I didn't think he looked up to much, I'm afraid. He's clearly way better than I could ever be but he didn't look like a world-class skiier to me - as evidenced by his last-place finish.

D G Orf, Far too tired to look at smilies - reading is more than enough at the moment! Sorry if I misunderstood, but no smilie by the remark I thought was odd.

Just seen the results of the qualifying race on Eurosport's website. Bad news the sight says;
Quote: |
"Ghana's Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong has also pulled out of the championships, returning home after failing to qualify for Wednesday's giant slalom." |
. You can read the article here
Lets hope he keeps the faith and makes it at Val D'Isere in 2009.
